Spanish Grand Prix Poster

Formula 1 and motorsport, in general, have a very special relationship with Spain and particularly with Barcelona. The Spanish Grand Prix is one of the oldest events in the F1 championship, with more than 50 editions to its name, many of which have been held in Barcelona on its circuits in Pedralbes, Montjuïc, and the current Montmeló.

Thus, in our print of the Spanish Grand Prix, we have tried to capture the long-standing history that the city of Barcelona and all of Spain have with Formula 1.

In the foreground, there is a Formula 1 car approaching the main straight of the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya, with the main grandstand, the scoreboard, the control tower, and the garages on each side as the most recognizable elements of the track. In the background, we see an idealized skyline of the city of Barcelona that will be familiar to anyone who has visited or lives in it: the Mapfre and Arts towers, the Glòries tower, the Sagrada Familia, the Telefónica tower, the Collserola tower, and the Sacred Heart of Tibidabo. All of this is crowned by a vermilion sun that reminds us of the friendship between this star and the Spanish soil, especially the Mediterranean coasts.

Finally, the scene, painted in the colors of the Spanish flag, is framed in white and features typically modernist characters (used to announce the grand prix, as well as the town and province that host it) with which we evoke the cultural essence of Barcelona.
