C'est le Dakar, patron

The Dakar Rally is arguably the most grueling motorsport event in existence. Every year, it inevitably draws complaints from drivers directed at race officials regarding the sheer brutality of the route.

Even the founder himself, Thierry Sabine, had to face these grievances. Legend attributes to him a quote—as mystical as it is stoic—that perfectly defines the race’s hardship and the resilience required of anyone brave enough to enter: "C'est le Dakar, patron" ("It’s the Dakar, boss").

With this design, my goal wasn't just to create a hoodie. I wanted to evoke the very mindset we should all adopt when facing any challenge we choose to undertake.

The artwork features a motorcycle pulling a wheelie across the sand, leaving its trail behind; a car caught mid-air as it crests a dune; a massive truck powering through the desert; and the helicopter watching over it all from above—the eye that allows us to keep falling in love with this one-of-a-kind race.

All of this rests upon an earth-toned garment, designed to transport you to the dunes of Saudi Arabia or the vast deserts of Africa and South America.
