Magic Beco: The Magic of Ayrton
The “Magic Beco” T-shirt, inspired by Ayrton Senna, is a key piece in our “Legends” collection. And it couldn’t be otherwise: the most iconic driver in Formula 1 history deserved a tribute from us—imagined as a footballer.
This T-shirt is full of details. To begin with, its fabric features subtle vertical lines reminiscent of iconic football kits from the 1980s and 1990s. These are complemented by the sleeve trims and collar, which further enhance the retro football feel.
The design is also strongly defined by the chosen colors, white and red, which reference the single-seaters with which Ayrton achieved his three World Championships. On the front, the red chest stripe forms a triangle to make room for the sponsor, echoing the livery design found on Senna’s cars during those years.
Speaking of the sponsor, we chose “Magic Beco” as a tribute to the Brazilian star, combining two of his most characteristic nicknames: “Magic,” the more journalistic one, and “Beco,” the more familiar and affectionate.
On the back, his surname Senna appears along with the number of a true champion: 1. We chose this number because a legend like him, on a T-shirt like this, deserves to wear the number of champions. Above these elements, there is a small but highly significant detail: Ayrton’s own helmet, a true symbol of the São Paulo-born driver.
On the left sleeve, you’ll find another of the T-shirt’s most important details: a patch featuring the three Formula 1 World Championship trophies, displayed as if they were European Cups won by a football club.
To complete the design, we must also mention the embroidered crest of the fictional team we created, the McKiwi Football 1 Club, featuring New Zealand’s most iconic animal—the kiwi—represented in white. Its central position on the chest is another distinctive hallmark that gives the T-shirt its character.
In short, our “Magic Beco” T-shirt, from the “Legends” collection, is our most heartfelt tribute to the golden era of Formula 1 led by the immensely talented Brazilian driver we miss so dearly.
